James Taylor Bonds

• Born in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1984 and raised mostly in a small, rural Alabama town, James Taylor Bonds
is a New Orleans based artist whose focus is painting.
• James attended Auburn University at Montgomery from 2002 to 2006 on an art-based tuition scholarship.
In 2009 he graduated from Tulane University's M.F.A. program where he studied under the tutelage of Sandy Chism
and Ronna Harris.
• By employing the flights of fancy created from remembrance, childhood, and desire, James renders his traditional
narrative paintings which blend actual landscape and architecture with emotional response.
